My first foray into photography, besides the usual point and shoot, was through a Canon Rebel XTi, a kit lens and a 300mm lens that I got for Christmas courtesy of my family (blood and in-laws alike). I was overwhelmed, overcome to tears when I opened the box. Little did I know what I was really opening…a future I couldn’t even fathom. That following summer I told Mike how I wanted to just walk around the city and discover it in a new way. I didn’t know that those pictures would be the beginning. Even though I shot those images on auto mode, mostly in black and white, it was the start.
To know me as a photographer is to know the personal work that I shoot if for no other reason than because I must. These are the pictures that tell my story and how I see the world.
