There will be a day when I won’t have her around. I know this, though it’ll still be hard to accept when that day comes. There are way too many memories that fill my heart, of her laughter, of her voice and of her sly smile. But one of the ways that I know will stay embedded in my mind for as long as I remember is of her sitting behind her sewing machine, embroidering another heirloom we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives. I hope that my kids will treasure these pictures of her, just as I’ll always remember her.
